April 1, 2008 RCMP MEDIA RELEASE
The Vernon RCMP responded to a complaint of a stabbing in the 3800 block of 27th Ave yesterday just before noon. The officers were able to locate one injured male who was being treated by the ambulance personnel. The police were later called to the hospital to deal with a second person who had a laceration to his hand. The details of this event are not clear yet as the persons involved are not very cooperative with the police. The police want the public to know that this assault is not a random act that all of the people involved in this incident are well known to each other and it appears to be as a result of an ongoing dispute between them. The police are continuing to investigate this case.
