Lower East Hill residents are expected out in force at Vernon city hall Thursday night, over proposed traffic pattern changes on Suicide Hill. The city has suggested closing uphill access at 25th Street, which has residents of 26th Street concerned. Two letters are circulating questioning why the city would force additional traffic onto a residential street, which is already plagued with speeding vehicles. One letter notes there are lots of children living on the street, and a school bus stop. Council will take residents input Thursday night at 7.
DON QUIXOTE VS. CITY HALL When an American gets mad, he says "where's my Gun". When a Canadian gets pissed off he says "Where is my pen, I'm going to send a letter to the EDITOR". When the EDITOR won't publish his letter he sets up his own BLOG page. When I received enough support to get a Council Seat the dogma of the establishment became : "Better to have him inside the tent pissing out, than outside pissing in." (Only time will tell !)
