Codes on Capacity

Starlee Speers, Astral Media Radio - Vernon

Interior Health officials are looking to standardize the system so that overcapacity situations are treated the same at all hospitals. Kelowna General Hospital hasn't called any code purples this year but that's not because they haven't been overcapacity. Peter du Toit with Interior Health says, K-G-H doesn't use the same terminology as Vernon Jubilee when there are more patients than beds. He says K-G-H doesn't call code purples but they've been experiencing the same overcapacity levels as Vernon....one-hundred and eight percent. So far this year there have been over fifty code purples called at V-J-H.

So Du Toit thinks this is worthy of 'news'??
We really are suffering from over administration!

Time for a big sweepup!!

What has this got to do with the daily agonies suffered by patients and their caregivers??
