I don't know whether this will be on the Coldstream agenda or not, but it should be. Apparently there is a problem with the fancy-schmancy new sewer system. Because of low flow volume, the thing became stagnant and gas builds up, causing a nasty odour around these sewers. Coldstream's solution? Well, I understand they simply plugged up the holes in the man-hole covers! How do you spel "Kaboom?"

At least you can see where the manholes (peopleholes?) are as the shiny bolts really show up in the sunlight. Incidentally, the City has similar problems with the sewer system in the Landing. Their solution? Pump lots of treated Kalamalka Lake water down the drain (I wonder if they are paying 80 cents a cubic meter for that water.)

The funny thing is that extra water then have to be treated at the sewage plant at a cost of $1.25 per cubic meter.

We have a wonderful system!!!!
