The popular United Way Drive-Thru Breakfast is being served Thursday at the Best Western Vernon Lodge.Local dignitaries involved include mayors, representatives of the RCMP and Vernon Fire Department, The Morning Star’s Richard Rolke and Linda Yule, executive director of the United Way of North Okanagan Columbia Shuswap.
“Everyone will go away with a smile and a bag filled with surprises, including yogurt, a breakfast cookie or bar, notepad and other goodies,” said Yule.“Each bag is worth more than $20. Random bags will have coupons for exciting additional prizes so check your bags before you leave and claim your prize.” Prizes include a trip for two from Horizon Air, four one-night hotel packages from RPB Hotels and Resorts, gift cards from Home Building Centre, Canadian Tire Dollars from Canadian Tire, golf gear from Telus and two children’s birthday parties from McDonalds.
The United Way Drive-Thru Breakfast takes place Thursday from 6 to 9 a.m. at the Best Western Vernon Lodge. Payment for the bags is by donation.

GVSC meeting cancelled! Why? I have to admit that the politicians of GVSC that serve at the Drive_Thru will be using all the skills that they have,and that perhaps GVSC is better off without them
