Hesperia Report Missing from Agenda

The Agenda for both the Cow and the Open session of Council is rather light. It is anticipated that the heavy lifting for Council will come at the 5:30 PM session for the OCP final review that will happen at the Shubert Centre. After this you can get to the Coldstream Council meeting TO BE HELD ON MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 8, 2008 IN THE LAVINGTON ELEMENTARY SCHOOL GYMNASIUM 9715 SCHOOL ROAD, COLDSTREAM, BC AT 7:00 PM. This meeting might have some fireworks and protests to provide literary fodder for the local media.

Missing from the agenda at Vernon City Council are two items:

• Quarterly Grants report from Grants and PR officer on outstanding Grants and their status. Last report was the initial Report that covered up to the end of March /08.
• Hesperia Report from Coun. Cunningham that was scheduled for this meeting. There is no indication whether the Appraisal Report of these 69 acres will be released to the public.
  
• The Zoning decision on limiting the slot machines in Vernon to 300 maximum will come up late on the afternoon's agenda and hopefully will be decided by a full 7 man council. This important decision will reflect badly on Council if it is made with a tie vote that could be avoided by deferring the decision until a full Council is in attendance.
