  • Question:
Will you pledge to vote for the elimination of the GST on the B.C. Carbon Tax. YES or NO

YES! of course. This should be eliminated immediately. GST is designed to tax goods and services, not taxes!

Will you pledge to vote that the GST NOT be applied to any Federal Carbon Tax YES or NO

YES! The Carbon Tax is neither a service or a good - what is the GST doing on that?

Now that the Writ has been dropped I will endeavor to get an answer to a question that I have.
This e-mail has been sent to the 5 declared candidates in the Okanagan Shuswap riding.

The Federal Govt. presently applies the GST to the recently passed B.C. Carbon Tax.
The Federal Liberal party will introduce a Federal Carbon Tax if they become government.

Question:
Will you pledge to vote for the elimination of the GST on the B.C. Carbon Tax. YES or NO
Will you pledge to vote that the GST NOT be applied to any Federal Carbon Tax YES or NO

I intend to publish this e-mail on my website http://vernonblog.blogspot.com/
I will update the readers of that blog each week of the answers or lack of answers to this simple question.

The cost to the Provincial taxpayers is $30 million for the GST on the B.C. Carbon Tax.

Thank you in advance for your cooperation.
