Many guns, knives stolen from store

CASTANET:
A large amount of firearms have been stolen from a gun shop in the North Okanagan. Vernon RCMP are investigating a break and enter at Del Selin Sunsmiths which took place between Saturday night and Tuesday morning. Vernon RCMP spokesman, Gord Molendyk, says someone cut the store’s alarm wires. “They then broke in to the business through a sky light. They then cut through the upstairs floor/ceiling into the gun shop below. The suspects carried all the stolen items out the front door,” says Molendyk. He says the suspects made off with approx $50, 000 worth of equipment from the shop. “40 handguns and 40 assorted shotguns and rifles were all stolen. As well as scopes, binoculars and assorted knives.” Anyone who may have seen suspicious activity around the store, located in the 2800 block of 28th Street, is asked to contact the police.
