Yesterday Vernon Traffic Enforcement officers along with the assistance of one of the reserve constables stepped up enforcement on the streets of Vernon.
The officers worked the area around 43rd Ave and 20th St as well as the Okanagan Landing area issuing a total of 41 tickets.
24- were for speeding
7 -were for seatbelts
2- for unsafe passing
1 -for no insurance
1 -for failing to display insurance
7 -warning were also issued.
This will be part of an ongoing traffic enforcement program within the City to bring speeds and the general compliance of all traffic control devices within Vernon/Coldstream and the surrounding Regional Districts.
DON QUIXOTE VS. CITY HALL When an American gets mad, he says "where's my Gun". When a Canadian gets pissed off he says "Where is my pen, I'm going to send a letter to the EDITOR". When the EDITOR won't publish his letter he sets up his own BLOG page. When I received enough support to get a Council Seat the dogma of the establishment became : "Better to have him inside the tent pissing out, than outside pissing in." (Only time will tell !)

I guess when the Mayor snaps his fingers, the Chief of Police jumps..What about all of the drugs we have in our community and downtown core? What about the prostitutes? There's no leadership in council or on the police force.
