Vernon Council held their second public meeting to talk budget on Wednesday. Mayor Wayne Lippert says there's been quite a few participants from the public who want to ensure the city continues to provide services and create more greenspace. The Mayor says budget discussions have been interesting as participants from the community haven't been pushing for lower taxes, they're concerned about services being cut. Lippert says it's still not certain that funds for fire rescue services will be rolled into general taxation.He says so far the city is on track for a zero percent tax increase.
