Liberals host meeting

Vernon-Monashee Liberals will select their candidate for May’s provincial election March 6. The nomination meeting will be held at the Schubert Centre, with voting running from 2 to 8 p.m. Seeking the nomination are Eric Foster, Deb Leroux, Andrew Powell, Betty Selin and Michael Tindall. The deadline for candidates to sell party memberships is Thursday. The nomination race became necessary after MLA Tom Christensen announced he would retire from politics after the election.

What a phony way to run a nomination vote-no speeches by the candidates and no actual meeting before the vote. I guess that is understandable-someone might say something that is not in line with dictator Campbell. The trouble is we might get another Christiansen that will do nothing for the Vernon area,ie so weak that Abbott is the mouth for what happens in our area!
