A fire at the Sandy Beach Trailer Park in Vernon destroyed one family's home Tuesday afternoon. Okanagan Landing Fire Chief Ed Forslund tell us the structure was fully engulfed when his crew arrived around 3pm. He says the home is likely a write-off after it was engulfed by the blaze. Forslund says the home was occupied by a single mom and her children and was advised they do have insurance. No one, including pets were inside the trailer at the time of the fire. He says the cause of the fire isn't suspicious and it seems to have started in the laundry room area.
