Vernon native a finalist in Aussie contest

Marcella Moser's marketing skills have made her a finalist for 'the best job in the world.' Moser, a 32-year-old Vernon native, now a marketing student in Vancouver, created a one-minute video application for a contest put on by Australia's Queensland Tourism Board in which the winner will spend six months on an island in the Great Barrier Reef feeding fish, collecting mail, exploring the islands and writing about their adventures from a three-bedroom oceanview home.The winner also receives $150,000. In her video, Moser swings from the sky planting trees that pop up around a bear, and a shark licks her face.She was selected a finalist from among 35,000 applicants.
