Vernon residents and businesses can go on-line to find out how much their city tax bill will be this year. Mayor Wayne Lippert says now that the new tax rates have been adopted, the city has added a "property tax estimator" on its website. "The calculator is there so that now that they have their assessment, they'll be able to use that calculator to determine what their taxes will be."

The city's new budget includes an overall tax hike of 1.99 percent, but the impact on each property will depend on the assessed value.
