Peter McIntyre Wednesday, 20 May 2009 107.5 KISSFM:
The courts are proceeding to a trial in a major fraud investigation based in the North Okanagan. Vernon resident and former lawyer Edward Kenny is charged with 16 counts of theft and fraud, while Jonathon Prangley of Armstrong is facing six similar counts. A preliminary hearing has determined there's sufficient evidence for a trial. Victims in Canada, the US and Australia tell police they were defrauded out of hundreds of thousands of dollars in investment funds, dating back to 1999. The suspects will be back in court June 15th to set a date for a Supreme Court trial.
