BC Lotto Corporation raises online weekly limit to $10,000

By Jack Keating, The Province August 19, 2009 8:02 AM

The B.C. Lottery Corp. plans to raise the weekly limit on its Play Now Internet gambling website from $120 per week to $10,000 in a move that the NDP called a "money grab from a government desperate for money. "NDP lottery critic Shane Simpson said the decision to increase home-based online gambling limits was "totally unacceptable. There's been no consultation." Corporation president Michael Graydon confirmed the surprise decision in an interview with Kamloops radio station CHNL.Craydon said it was the corporation's decision, based on research, to let the players "set their own limits. It gives them the opportunity, based on their own economics, to be able to set what they'd like to do."

This is entirely "Bull Sh*t". Casino revenues are down substantially and this will only rape and plunder the Gambling Addicts and the Public.

Has this government totally lost it senses? Also it will be interesting to see what the reaction of the USA and IRS will be of online gamblers from the USA accessing a foreign online gambling source.
