A so called "crack-shack" in Vernon's East Hill has been been shut down. After getting numerous complaints, RCMP arrested five people inside a home in the 22-hundred block of 30th Avenue Friday. RCMP spokesman Gord Molendyk (pictured) says, "The owner and two others are expected to face charges of possession for the purpose of trafficking cocaine. One person was in the process cooking cocaine at the time."Molendyk says more than 60 grams of cocaine product was seized, including 49 grams of 'slurry' which is mixing water, baking soda and cocaine, reducing the drug from a powder, to a crystallized or rock form. The residence has been posted under the city's drug house bylaw, meaning it can't be lived in again until it's brought up to code.
