Vernon Mayor Wayne Lippert says relations with other members on the Greater Vernon Advisory Committee are strained. However Vernon councillors lost a motion yesterday to have the committee dissolved. Lippert is pointing a finger at Coldstream and Electoral Area C directors. He says the committee has become a waste of time and taxpayers' money.
Staff at Vernon city hall will be looking for new places to dump snow this coming winter. The Greater Vernon Advisory Committee has voted to stop snow dumping in BX Ranch dog park. Mayor Wayne Lippert has expressed disappointment with the decision. He says the city had all the equipment to ensure no chemicals or hazardous materials were left in the park.
