New Liberal President; Search for Candidate

The Okanagan Shuswap Federal Liberal Association has elected a new executive at its annual general meeting in Armstrong.

President - Harry Adam (Coldstream)

Vice President - Lynne Hawrys (Salmon Arm)

Treasurer - Ruth Drennan (Vernon)

Secretary - Sylvia Dennis (Vernon)

Membership - Bill Kastelen (Coldstream)

Policy - Steve Genn (Salmon Arm)

Communications - Rod Drennan (Vernon)

Organization - Gord Adams (Vernon)

Election Readiness - Lynne Hawrys and Rod Drennan

Fundraising - Dianne Perrier (Vernon)

Past President - Janna Francis (Vernon)

Meantime, the Association's candidate search committee is nearing the conclusion of the search for individuals interested in letting their names stand for nomination as the Liberal candidate in the next general election. The group says the process will conclude on August 14.A nomination meeting will be called shortly thereafter.Janna Francis ran for the local Liberals in the last federal election.

Perhaps the Liberal's should just consider supporting the Green Party Candidate and do the people of the North Okanagan a favor and get rid of the Conservative MP whose usefulness is sadly lacking.
