Percy Schmeiser, internationally renowned farmer and farmers' rights advocate from Saskatchewan will be in Salmon Arm, Vernon and Kelowna this weekend. He will discuss his 10-year battle with agribusiness giant Monsanto after his fields were contaminated with Genetically Engineered canola in 1998, and how he won! A discussion of how GE foods have now entered into our Canadian Food supply will also occur so we can learn of the efforts underway and of what we can do to keep our areas free of GE plants and trees.

VERNON: Saturday, September 19, Okanagan College Lecture Theatre, 7:00 PM
