Friends of the Museum help ‘Bling’ in Christmas

Bling is the thing. The Friends of the Vernon Museum invite you to attend the unveiling of two funky ultra modern decorated silver Christmas trees Nov. 21 at 10 a.m. “Our two trees will be completely outfitted in wild and zany coloured decorations,” said Alice Lee, with the Friends. “Two entirely differently decorated trees will be up for bids in a silent auction over a two-week period.” Bids can be made until 5 p.m. Dec. 5. The winning bidder will be contacted that evening, giving you plenty of time to get it home or to your business in time for the holiday season. “We would love to have you come and share with Mrs. Claus and Eager Elf as they hand out cookies and spiced hot apple juice for visitors that come in on our kick-off day to see and bid on our trees.“While you are there take a spin around the museum and reacquaint yourself with some of Vernon’s history and check out our gift shop for Christmas gift possibilities.”All are welcome to this fun-filled day at The Greater Vernon Museum & Archives, 3009-32nd Ave.
