There are now different regulations in Coldstream for hunters and others using firearms. Mayor Jim Garlick says it's the result of a lot of consultation. "Some people with firearms background, from the hunting community, came out and gave their input and had discussion with council. A map was made up, creating three zones in Coldstream." Garlick says it's an effort to deal with the changing face of the municipality where they range from urban to rural to very rural."We are a varied community, and different rules apply to each zone." He's encouraging any hunters or other firearms users to get a copy of the bylaw.
