An opportunity has arisen due to the illness of the current Treasurer. This position will be interim for at least 4 months and very possibly long term.

GENERAL OUTLINE

This is a fully experienced working level EXEMPT position reporting to the CAO.

• The Treasurer is responsible for the effective planning, administration, maintenance and operation of the municipalities finances.
• Unique aspects of the Nakusp Treasurer position include the financial administration of the Nakusp Hot Spring facility, the Nakusp and Area K Arena and Sport Complex, and the Municipal and Hot Springs Camp Grounds.

PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• CA / CMA / CGA (will consider CMA – Candidate or level 4 or 5 CGA depending on experience.
• 3-5 years of senior finance experience in a municipal setting
