A man police still consider a suspect in up to ten Vernon robberies last month is apparently no longer living in the city. RCMP spokesman Gord Molendyk says they've been told Kipp Waechter has gone to live in the Lower Mainland. "Indications are that where he is, down there." The 37 year old was released from custody last week on a promise to appear in court on a probation charge. The Crown issued a stay of proceedings on six armed robbery charges against Waechter in November due to a lack of evidence, but police are expecting to make another request for charges against him in the near future.
