A campaign urging drivers to slow down by roadway job sites was launched in Vernon Monday. WorksafeBC's regional prevention manager Shawn Mitton says research shows that the ``slow down'' signs, that show local workers and their families, actually work on drivers. Local workers and their kids are pictured on the Vernon signs. Mayor Wayne Lippert says the city has over 50 workers on the streets in all kinds of weather and it's important to do everything possible to eliminate the risk of injury.
DON QUIXOTE VS. CITY HALL When an American gets mad, he says "where's my Gun". When a Canadian gets pissed off he says "Where is my pen, I'm going to send a letter to the EDITOR". When the EDITOR won't publish his letter he sets up his own BLOG page. When I received enough support to get a Council Seat the dogma of the establishment became : "Better to have him inside the tent pissing out, than outside pissing in." (Only time will tell !)
