A two-legged dog named Faith is inspiring disabled veterans across the United States after learning how to walk upright, despite missing her two front legs. She was rescued from a junkyard in January 2003 by Reuben Stringfellow, an Army E-4 specialist who recently finished a tour in Iraq. She was severely disabled and on the verge of death. Faith was nursed back to health and taught how to walk by Stringfellow and his mother, Jude. She would bribe Faith with peanut butter and help lift her chest off the floor, but now Faith can walk and run with relative ease. Veterinarians have said that Faith is now very healthy. Since learning to walk, the dog has appeared on talk shows and done tours across America, including at army bases and veterans' hospitals. Most recently, Faith met with about 5,000 soldiers at bases in Washington state.
