Penticton Mayor Dan Ashton hand-delivered a pair of cheques for $140 each on Wednesday afternoon, for what was the cost of a pair of tickets to a hockey game during the Olympics, donated by the B.C. Lottery Corporation. The mayor asked both of his children for a charity of their choice and money was donated to the Penticton Soupateria Association and the BC-SPCA (Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals).
