The Greater Vernon Advisory Committee has added 135-thousand dollars to the proposed Parks, Rec and Culture budget for the year. Parks GM Al McNiven says that money is slated for fitness equipment in a seniors' area at Polson Park. He says the whole package now goes to regional directors for approve. McNiven says -- as is -- the numbers work out to a 2.5 percent tax increase.
