Tax on a Tax. Province joins hands with Feds to screw taxpayer.

Q. Carbon Tax

With the proposed point-of-sale rebate for motor fuels, the provincial portion of the B.C. HST would not apply to gasoline, ethanol, diesel and biodiesel when used in motor vehicles (i.e., in internal combustion engines) as well as locomotive fuel used for trains, marine diesel used for boats, and aviation fuel and jet fuel used for aircraft, or to the carbon tax payable on those fuels.

However, the B.C. HST would be applied to the purchase price including any carbon tax on all other fuels such as heavy fuel oil, propane, butane, natural gas and ethane.

---------------------

How will the Provincial Government return this to the consumer to honour their pledge that the Carbon Tax will be Revenue Neutral?

They looked like brainless idiots....can't imagine why they ever popular or anyone listened to them. The younger generation must have thought they were watching a replay of Ozzie Osborne.
