Water contamination costs

Coldstream's Finance Director Trevor Seibel says his department has doled out $70,000 to cover the cost - so far - of the Antwerp Springs Well contamination. Seibel says that covers the cost of trucking in water supplies, staff overtime and other supplies needed during emergency that, at one time, affected 1200 homes.He says much of the money should be recovered through the Provincial Emergency Program.However the cost of the water will have to be picked up by Greater Vernon Water.
