A local group wants a former community leader honoured in a permanent way. The Vernon and District Heritage Society is asking city council to endorse a plan to rename the small brick Science building in Polson Park as the Anna Fulton Cail Heritage Hall.Society president Bob Wilson says in a letter, Cail was a teacher, daughter of two pioneering families (Fulton and Reinhart), and the city's foremost crusader for heritage preservation.Cail passed away last year at age 97.
City council gave unanimous support to the idea with no discussion at its meeting.
