Gear-up, get ready and roll out your wheels with the first ever Thompson/Okanagan Bike to Work Week (BTW) from May 10th-16th, 2010! Join in the fun locally as North Okanagan launches Bike to Work with free Team Leader’s Workshop at City Hall, on Tuesday, April 20th from 5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Team leaders automatically receive a free BTW T-shirt and promotional package to assist them in motivating and inspiring their co-workers to try cycling to work.

To get involved simply join your workplace team and register by visiting www.biketowork.ca. Choose North Okanagan as the location. A team can consist of your entire workplace, department or work group. There is no limit to the number of teams per organization. Throughout the week, Bike to Work teams will vie to out do each other's participation and the team with the highest percentage of participants will win a team prize. Try something new by joining fellow cyclists at the morning celebration Stations where you can win free bike courtesy of Olympia Cycle and Ski and Skyride Cycle by entering in-person at the Celebration Stations and Wrap-up BBQ.

Why get involved? Studies show that people who bike to school and work are happier, healthier and more productive, plus: It’s fun You can win prizes You’ll save money It’s good for your heart and lungs It’s good for the environment You’ll have more energy.
Let’s all get in gear and register your team!
