HST Campaign Hits Goal in Shuswap

The anti HST campaign has been a success in the riding of Shuswap which includes Armstrong, Enderby and Salmon Arm. The anti HST campaign has been a success in the ShuswapPetition organizer Chad Moats says the riding has reached its goal. "The riding of Shuswap has met the Elections BC ten percent threshold today, ten days into the campaign." No update as yet for the Vernon Monashee riding. The group leading the petition which includes former Premier Bill Vander Zalm, says it has also reached the minimum level of support in Nanaimo, and is close in several others. However, Premier Gordon Campbell says it doesn't matter how many signatures the ''No'' forces gather, the government is forging ahead with the harmonized tax.
