There's doesn't appear to be a lot of opposition to the plan to borrow money for a new Vernon library. An approval petition at the NORD office has so far generated 50 signers with less than two weeks go in the campaign. Ten percent of the region's electors--or 63-hundred people--- are needed by July 5th, to derail the plan. If approved, NORD would borrow 11 million dollars on behalf of the Okanagan Regional Library, to build a new Vernon branch on 30th Avenue.

Most residents realize there is little they can achieve with this petition.
But watch their reactions when the recall petition starts for the local Mute Liberal MLA.
