Parking, Road Access Lead Polson Park Input

About 50 people came out for an info session on plans for Polson Park at the rec centre last night. Parks and recreation general manager Al McNiven says it's a respectable number given the two concept designs will be on display in the park on Canada Day and comments can also be made on the regional district's web site. McNiven says there was no common thread to last night's comments, but there was a main issue. "Probably the number one item that was coming up was parking, and the lack of parking at Polson Park. Others were concerned about access for disabled people and not closing off road access. "If the road had no traffic or just restricted traffic, there was a feeling that would increase the undesirable activity in the area around the ponds."There was also a request for a dog area towards the highway side of the creek.
