I would love a farmer's/craft market in Polson Park. Tri-Cities in Wash. has a craft fair in their riverside park and it was delightful: there were lovely shadetrees to escape the heat and the park was full of happy families.

The current location is hot, noisy and miserable. I seldom go.

If there was market in Polson (even for one day) I would definately support it.

I have talk to several people who feel the same and would like a market in Polson.

You could have a shuttle service if vehicles are an issue.

How about something to replace the old Grandstand that burned down? A nod to our heritage, with a view to the future?

There is not one outdoor stadium facility in the North Okanagan - except perhaps at the Army Camp.

Rebuilding the Grandstand would be an excellent use of that insurance money!

Imagine an outdoor 'celebratorium', a gathering place with covered seating, where one could view all manner of sporting activity / recreation / festivals/concerts/ occurring on the multi-purpose field/track! Storage for sports groups! Visitor amenities - washrooms, concessions, giftshops, etc!

Perhaps we could add a seniors fitness circuit around the perimeter that incorporates walking, THE BEST PHYSICAL ACTIVITY FOR ANY AGE GROUP, as well as strength/balance activities, instead of the semi-circle with viewing benches and zero walking opportunities that is proposed under Options A/B.

But what do I know, I ain't no consultant.

I dislike the formal entrance at the 32nd St./25th Ave. corner of the park. The fountain is OK but the lamps and iron fence are old-fashioned and somehow feel out of place, and should be replaced with perhaps wood.
