B.C. deficit $1 billion lower than projected for 2009-2010

British Columbia's deficit for 2009-10 is $996 million lower than was projected in the government's post-election budget. The new deficit for 2009-10 is $1.8 billion, Finance Minister Colin Hansen announced today. He said the improved number is largely due to reductions in government spending.
