Mayor Considers Tourism Possibilities.The Columbia Shuswap Regional District board has agreed to give Sicamous 30-thousand dollars to do a 'salvage value determination' for the rail line between Sicamous and Grindrod which CP Rail is no longer using. District of Sicamous Mayor Malcolm MacLeod says the views along the corridor are 'stunning' and he hopes to make it a tourism asset like the old Kettle Valley rail lines in the Okanagan. MacLeod went on a rail-bike trip from Sicamous to Grindrod this week with the District's Chief Administrative Officer Alan Harris. He says rail-bikes are popular around Europe.
