Coldstream Public Hearing

Efforts by the District of Coldstream to control the shores and surface of Kalamalka Lake go to the public tonight. Council is holding a public hearing at 6pm on a proposed zoning amendment which would allow the District to regulate use. City planner Craig Broderick says the District would then be able to deal with houseboats and an old pile driver sitting offshore. Council is also concerned with water quality protection and hopes to gain control of the intake into Kal Lake.
