Drowning victim identified

Police are releasing the name of the man who drowned in Kalamalka Lake earlier this week. Kelroy Munroe, 26, of Kelowna, was out with friends Tuesday afternoon on Kalamalka Lake when he dove into the water and never resurfaced. The search ended late Tuesday afternoon when his body was located by Vernon Search and Rescue. Emergency crews used side scanning sonar and a remote controlled underwater vehicle equipped with a camera. Munroe's body was found in approximately 113 feet of water and was brought to the surface and ultimately to shore.
