The FightHST campaign is recruiting canvassers for a recall campaign the group plans to launch in November if the B.C. government refuses to pass the citizens' initiative calling for the end of the harmonized sales tax. Terry Hand, who co-ordinated the Central Island initiative petition campaign, said the majority of those who canvassed for the initiative petition have told him they are eager to start the recall campaign. He has yet to find out if he will be the captain of the recall campaign in the ridings where he led the initiative petition. "I hope to and I have submitted my application. I guess Bill (Vander Zalm) is pretty busy right now."Anyone wishing to apply to be a canvasser for recall can get information at www.FightHST.com.
