Vernon Mayor Wayne Lippert got an earful on the weekend. He says he got plenty of telephone calls and e-mails on Friday night, complaining over the loudness of the Rare Earth music festival. Lippert says he could hear the bass 12 klicks away from the festival venue. Lippert says he doesn't know how many formal complaints were made to the city but his telephone was ringing off the hook. He says the sound seemed a bit lower on Saturday.

eh... it was kind of loud but whatever, its summer we just sat out on the patio and listened to the music for a while. We live maybe 6k as the crow flies away from the event
