Canada's Worst Handyman is looking for candidates from Vernon. Spokesperson Meredith Veats says the Discovery Channel TV show which is going into its sixth season
, aims to improve the skills of men and women who like to attempt renovations -- but aren't that good at them. She tells KISS FM, "If you know someone who is destroying your house or someone else's because their ambition far exceeds their skill, then nominate them and give them a shot at learning, and people actually really do benefit from doing this." Veats says the show teaches bad handy men and women new skills by immersing them at a Handyman Rehab Centre. Veats says the producers will follow up each nomination and will be in Vernon in November to meet with promising candidates."The chances are actually very good at ending up on the show."
