A residence in Lumby was destroyed by fire late Saturday night. Firefighters were called out to the home, a holiday trailer with a built on addition, on Rawlings Lake Road shortly after 10 p.m.
"When the crews got there it was fully engulfed," says Lumby Fire Chief Tony Clayton. The resident, who was not home at the time of the fire, is being looked after by Emergency Social Services. Though the cause of the fire has not yet been determined, it does not appear suspicious, says Clayton.
