Officials with B.C. Transit got an earful from a Lake Country delegation Tuesday at the UBCM gathering going on in Whistler. They will likely get much of the same at a second scheduled meeting Tuesday evening. The Lake Country delegation, led by Mayor James Baker, met with transit officials to voice concerns over changes to the transit schedule within the community. Many of those changes are affecting students who attend school in Kelowna. Busses which were getting school children back to Lake Country by about 4:20 are now arriving more than a half hour later, something district officials say is of concern to parents, especially as winter approaches. District CAO Albert De Feo, says the Lake Country delegation made their objections known 'loud and clear.' "It was clear from the meeting that transit officials will work with the District Council and staff to correct the issues and a second meeting will be held this evening (Tuesday) just to discuss Lake Country concerns," says De Feo.
DON QUIXOTE VS. CITY HALL When an American gets mad, he says "where's my Gun". When a Canadian gets pissed off he says "Where is my pen, I'm going to send a letter to the EDITOR". When the EDITOR won't publish his letter he sets up his own BLOG page. When I received enough support to get a Council Seat the dogma of the establishment became : "Better to have him inside the tent pissing out, than outside pissing in." (Only time will tell !)
