Big Vote Today Betty Selin 9/22/2010 105.7 SUNFM
MPs will vote Wednesday afternoon on the long-gun registry. Prime Minister Stephen Harper's Conservatives have been trying for a decade and a half to have the registry scrapped. Okanagan Shuswap MP, Colin Mayes says it was not a difficult decision for him to support the motion. He says the registry is a waste of money and doesn't keep guns out of the hand of criminals and for him the decision on how to vote today was not a difficult one.He is concerned with comments from police officials who recently came out in support of the registry.Mayes says if the vote goes against them it will be very disappointing.
