TORONTO — The federal government will exempt Remembrance Day poppies from the HST, a senior government source confirmed Wednesday. Federal Finance Minister Jim Flaherty, along with Defence Minister Peter MacKay are scheduled to hold a news conference Thursday morning at an Ottawa branch of the Royal Canadian Legion.
