McGrath Stays At Helm of BC Tories

Peter McIntyre Monday, 18 October 2010 14:23107.5 KISSFMWayne McGrathThe BC Conservative party had 200 delegates at their AGM at UBC, and Vernon resident Wayne McGrath was re-elected as the group's president. The former Vernon mayor says the party will not participate in the MLA recall campaign , but is ready to field candidates if any recalls are successful . McGrath (pictured) says their membership is growing and a leadership convention will be held in 2011 when the party is satisfied funding and membership is able to supprt a quality candidate capable of being premier once most areas of the province have local organizations.McGrath has previously stated he has no intention to seek the leadership.

Wayne, stating "the party will not participate in the MLA recall campaign" is at best disingenuous, and at worst blatantly misleading. "the party" by law, cannot "participate"
