It looks like Vernon Monashee MLA Eric Foster will be part of a recall campaign, starting in the new year. A group has been formed to organize the petition, expected to begin in January. Spokesman Rod Baziw says they plan to hold signature collection events, similar to what was done with the anti-HST campaign. There are 45,206 registered voters in the riding, and 40 percent, or 18,082 valid signatures, will have to be collected over a two month period. Baziw says they need volunteer canvassers and people can get more details at a meeting Sunday Nov 7, 2:30 at the People Place, or at www.vernonrecall.com.
