Leon Gous will continue to be the boss of Vernon City Hall for at least three more years. Vernon council has given unanimous support to the renewal of it's Chief Administrator's contract for that time frame. In making the announcement, Mayor Wayne Lippert was pleased to endorse the decision. "Council has established a positive working relationship with Mr.Gous (pictured) and we value the tremendous support and guidance he provides on a daily basis. His business acumen, profound sense of ethics and management style are the hallmarks of his leadership that have resulted in major positive changes for the workforce at City Hall." The mayor says the South Africa native has "consistently advocated for fair and reasonable outcomes for Vernon on the many issues that confront the jurisdictional bodies in the North Okanagan."
